Jérôme Le Royer de la Dauversière born in 1597 (†1659) in La Flèche, considered as the founder of the city of Montreal, Canada. In 1640 he worked to establish a foundation for the conversion of Native Americans. Today, the Religious Hospitallers Order is still working in France, and both in North and South America.
